Be Inspired by Your Surroundings

To create this setting, I was inspired by the atmosphere of an outdoor garden, set under the shade of tree branches at sunset. The seasonal produce and florals, as well as the colours of the products, helped set the summer mood I wanted to capture. I curated a pastel palette taking inspiration from the beautiful array of frank green product colourways.

I complemented these lighter tones with a deep burgundy pop of summer fruits including plums, grapes and figs. I prefer to use neutral shades and tones in bigger objects like the table cloth and umbrella to allow the pops of colour and produce to do the talking.

Start with Neutrals as a Base

I included the Porcelain Bowls with Glass Lids to the table setting in an elegant, neutral shade of cloud as a clean base to work back against the natural check tablecloth. I filled them with fruits that bring a touch of colour to pop against the cloud while also complementing the flowers. These different tones help to bring depth to the pastel palette.

Keep Consistent Flower Arrangements and Colours

I tend to lean towards floral arrangements of the one type. I recommend styling the flowers into a vase or vessel that best allows their unique characteristics to shine. In this instance, I paired the beautiful David Austin blush garden roses with the Insulated Food Container (10oz size shown) which is in a complementary blush shade, so it doesn’t overpower the delicate roses.

Be Mindful of the Space

It’s important to create a tablescape that allows for conversation and connection between the guests so the experience is enjoyable. Try to allow the beauty of the florals and the forms of the elements on a table speak for themselves but be mindful of things like taller objects at eye level and how these might obstruct guests.

I am visually, emotionally and intuitively driven by nature and my surroundings to combine and style a setting, as it feels most natural. Lighting and shade can also impact the setting, so find a space outside where it complements the arrangement and also keeps guests feeling comfortable.

Use Unique Pieces as Props and Styling

Along with colour blocking, the pairing of florals to their vessels and the flowers’ shape, texture and colours all help to bring the table setting to life. I incorporated a mix of both pink and purples. I like to let the flowers do the talking, based on their individuality and the shape they take. This often will dictate the appropriate vase or vessel for each arrangement. On this occasion, I thought the 34oz / 1,000ml Ceramic Resuable Bottles and 10oz / 295ml Ceramic Reusable Cups in Chrome served as the perfect choice with the snapdragons and roses.

Prepare a Full Cutlery Offering for Guests

The durability, compact style, packaging and quality of the frank green’s utensil set allows for ease and practicality when incorporating into an alfresco entertaining setting. The full cutlery set, including a Stainless Steel Straw and chopsticks, ensures no matter what’s on the menu, there is an option for everything. The stainless steel silver finish brings an added level of sophistication to the outdoor setting which pairs back very nicely with the Chrome Bottles and Cups.

Noting: The frank green utensil set is unfortunately unavailable at the moment. Sign up to our frank friends to be the first to know when it’s back in stock.
